Visiting the Library
Students may visit the library at any time with teacher permission. Students are expected to have a E-Hall pass. Students are to sign in the library using the Chromebook on the circulation desk. Students may also visit the library during lunch. Some classes (depending on teacher choice) also visit the library bi-weekly with their English/Language Arts class.
Checkout
Students may check out three books at any one time. Additionally, they may check out one ebook at a time. All materials are due two weeks from date of checkout. A Date Due label is affixed to the inside front cover upon checkout.
Book Renewal
Students may renew their book(s) as many times as they want as long as they aren't on hold by another student. Self-renewal is available to students through their online library account as long as the student has no late books and owes no fines.
Damaged Books
All reasonable effort will be made to repair damaged books. However, if a book is damaged beyond repair the student the book was last checked out to will be expected to pay a replacement cost.
Replacing Lost Books
Lost books can be replaced by paying a replacement cost in the library. I also accept a replacement book that is the same title and is hard back. Questions about the cost to replace a book can be directed to Ms. Green at kelly.green2@boone.kyschools.us
Donated Materials
The acceptance of donated materials by the Camp Ernst Media Center does not guarantee inclusion of the donated materials into the library’s collection. Donated materials will be evaluated for their usefulness in the library’s collection. Items not included in the library collection may be offered to teachers for classroom use, given to students as prizes/incentives, sold in used book sales, or donated to charities or other causes deemed worthy by the media specialist.
